Donna D. McGahee Named Professional of the Year in Food Distribution
Donna McGahee specializes in project management, sales and finance within the wholesale food distribution & fresh produce industry

DAHLONEGA, GA, December 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donna D. McGahee, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of West Georgia Wholesale Distributors/All Fresh Produce, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Food Distribution. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Committed to global food and produce safety, Ms. McGahee has served as a co-owner of West Georgia Wholesale Distributors/All Fresh Produce for 12 years. In this position, she is responsible for monitoring the company's warehouse and selling wholesale food to grocery stores. Additionally, she supervises 27 employees and caters to a number of very large clients and independent grocers. She also runs a separate division for restaurants, corporate contacts, collections and training. Her company currently handles more than $4 million in sales.

Ms. McGahee has worked in the wholesale fresh produce industry for 25 years, and during this time, she has developed expertise in project management, sales and finance. Before joining West Georgia Wholesale Distributors, she worked as a senior manager with the Bank of America Corporation. Ms. McGahee's service to her field earned her an award certification in 2010, as well as a Woman-Owned Business of the Year award.

Ms. McGahee holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Mercer University and an MBA from Georgia State University. Furthermore, she holds a GFSI SQF 2000 Level 3 certification. A member of the Global Food Safety Initiative, she is also active within her community. She belongs to her local chamber of commerce and is a supporter of political campaigns, the Young Entrepreneur Program, Women in Need and United Way Worldwide. Attributing her success to her optimism, she intends to continue living a successful life filled with new ventures and opportunities.
