Taste Holdings Plans World Pizza Domination
Taste Holdings has experienced significant growth since the opening of its first Scooters Pizza outlet in September2000.

CARLSBAD, CA, December 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Taste Holdings has experienced significant growth since the opening of its first Scooters Pizza outlet in September2000. Scooters Pizza is the fastest growing pizza delivery chain in the country with over 140 stores nationwide. "We have been opening a new Scooters Pizza store every 28 days since the brand's inception," explains the Scooters Pizza Managing Executive, Renier Hattingh.

With Scooters Pizza proving to be one of South Africa's franchising success stories, Taste Holdings added Maxi's to its portfolio in 2005. The company registered on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) the following year and acquired its jewellery division NWJ shortly after. In 2010, the group added its most recent addition to its every growing portfolio, St Elmo's Pizza.

Taste Holdings' capital investment strategy is centred on acquiring new businesses and opening new stores. "We are always looking for opportunities to create growth within the company," says Hattingh. "We are currently focusing our energy on expanding each brand by opening more outlets across the country. At any given time we are busy with opening between 10 or 15 new stores," he continues. Taste Holdings has opened around 40 new stores this year alone. "Next year will be even better," promises Hattingh.
